Sooty Capital
- Its about when I wanted
- To sleep when dusk is deep
- Cradling the sickle moon
- Sailing through the stars
- Waking up to the dawn
- expanding a feeble glow
- North star still shining bright
- And raise a hand to the sky
- Then toil in the morning ours
- To the Sun up high, my eyes closed
- Sweat drenching the noon
- Back in the meadows picking straw
- Sauntering back home with stock
- To settle for the cozy night roost,
- And you called my folk poor men!
- Its about when I wanted
- To spend moments stretched to hours
- Smelling velvet petals in blooms
- Roses my cup bearers of dew
- Drinking from the brook
- The elixir of life gushing downstream
- Rivulets coursing to mighty rivers
- Dying in the sea
- To suck the nectar
- Nibble on the nut, gorge on the fruit
- And graze on the chaff
- Climb that tall tree
- Walking on the grass to the shore
- Soaking the waves lapping at my feet
- And you called my ilk idle women!
- Its about when I wanted
- to hold on tight and really strong
- With a new born’s innocence
- To life, oh dear life, yours and mine
- Spinned on a delicate balance
- In the expanse cold and dark
- Of our seamless universe
- Where live forms countless
- Teem on a blue dot of dust and dust
- In the vast space of nothingness
- And a lifelessness infinite
- Your evil bestride my living planet
- Smog engulfed a hot brown city
- And greed befogged minds
- You called my earth a dream utopian!
